Two years in the making and the big day has arrived for Choudhry Mohammed Walayat's New book to be launched in the Town Hall Sheffield, with more than 500 invited guests in attendance.

The event was opened by the Lady Mayoress, Cllr Jane Bird

Who presented Choudhry with a crystal award in recognition of his achievements in the City

Other prominent speakers included the former Home Secretary David Blunkett

The event was hosted by John Cornwell

Kashaf Walayat also spoke on his fathers achievements

Other speakers included Tony Dams and Patrick Duffy.
